Building and Remodeling in Asheville
Asheville projects are shaped by the property already in front of us: sloped ground, driveway access, drainage, older framing, and the permitting jurisdiction. Blue Ridge Homes evaluates those conditions early so the design, scope, and budget begin from the same facts.
What changes inside the city
New construction and substantial remodeling inside Asheville run through City Development Services. A mountain lot can make foundation type, retaining, and driveway alignment major design decisions. On older homes, structural changes and modern electrical or mechanical loads need to be assessed before demolition, not discovered midway through it.
Historic designation also needs to be identified accurately. A locally designated property can require design review for exterior work; a National Register listing is a different designation and does not create the same local review path.
